Do I need prior botanical training?
No. Foundational courses begin with observation vocabulary and simple page structures; advanced courses assume familiarity with basic pressing and labeling.
What materials should I have?
A notebook, smooth paper, absorbent sheets, a heavy book or press, pencil, ruler, and safe storage folder are enough to begin. Course pages list any specialized supplies.
Are courses live or self-paced?
The catalog identifies each format. Some lessons are self-paced editorial guides, while others use scheduled studio sessions and critique prompts.
Can I collect plants anywhere?
No. Ask permission where required, avoid protected species and habitats, never remove more than is appropriate, and consider documenting plants without collecting them.
Do courses identify plants for me?
Lessons teach observation and documentation, but they do not guarantee identification. Use reputable local references and consult qualified experts when accuracy matters.
Are materials accessible?
We provide written instructions, structured prompts, and printable-friendly guidance. Contact us before enrollment to discuss an access need.
Can I buy a course as a gift?
Yes. Contact the studio with the recipient’s preferred email and course choice so we can explain the available delivery options.
How do tracked courses work?
The Fallows page stores selected course IDs in your browser’s localStorage. It is a private device-level list and can be cleared at any time.
Can I change my course selection?
Use the cart controls before checkout. For enrollment changes after purchase, contact the studio and include your order details.
How can I ask a question not listed here?
Use the contact page with enough context for a useful reply. A photograph is not required for a general course question.
